1 For 3rd

Arsenal finally won the match against Newcaslte United. Appeared dominant in the Emirates, Arsenal had to wait until the last minute of the match to win the game with the score 2-1 with goals Thomas Vermaelen. Thanks to this victory, Arsenal are now just one point left with Tottenham Hotspur in the 3rd position of the Barclays Premier League standings.

In the game at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (3/13/2012), both teams end the first half with the same position 1-1. Newcastle had first winning goal by Hatem Ben Arfa in the 14th minute after completing a pass from Gabriel Obertan, but Arsenal responded immediately through a goal from Robin van Persie a minute later.

In the second half, Arsenal more offensive and created many chances to score that failed to be resolved into goals. The game look will ends with a draw until the 94th minute before Thomas Vermaelen scored the winning goal for Arsenal after finishing crossing from Theo Walcott.

In the second half the game completely controlled by the Emirates team. Some chance of them, header from Tomas Rosicky to pursue pass from Walcott, kick volley from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain still fly from the net. Several other chance from RVP that failed to be a goal. Gervinho also has a good chance, when the kick from Mikel Arteta's free kick failed to produce a goal. Other opportunities from the header Vermaelen, that also still not able to be a goal.

Finally, at minute 94, Vermaelen scored the winning goal for Arsenal. Mental maturity of arsenal players are getting better after going through the competitions that are unprecedented in recent weeks to do comeback and win the match with a remarkable game. Come on arsenal one point more for the 3rd position!
