Jan Verthongen, Is he a new member of the Emirates next season?

In the last week a lot of news about the rumors of Jan Verthongen's transfer from Ajax to Arsenal. Ajax captain, Jan Vertonghen recognition, which states would love to join Arsenal if given a chance has given rise to much speculation about his move to Arsenal. This is reinforced by the presence of Vertonghen at the Emirates Stadium when Arsenal beat AC Milan 3-0 in second leg of Champions League.

Vertonghen contract will expire in June next year, but apparently his club Ajax will sell Vertonghen end of the season to avoid losing their captain the club for free. Verthongen explained that his visit to the Emirates on Arsenal match against Milan because of the invitation of Thomas Vermaelen. Besides Arsenal, several Premier League club is also reportedly wanted the signature of Belgian national player, who this season has scored six goals in the Eredivisie. Some of the club are Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The player who plays as a central back, also very good in a free kick with his left foot as it often does Thomas Vermaelen at Arsenal. If he could be a Arsenal player, this recruits would be remarkable considering the excellent ability of the defense and scored goal. He will be a good partner with Vermaelen and can be alternate with Mertesacker and Koscielny to accompany the vice captain Thomas Vermaelen.
